Posters Zagreb

Zagreb as seen by our artists: the town gathered on its hill and its yellow tram. Each poster is a personal reading of travel, hand-printed on 270 gsm photo paper with a semi-matte finish in our workshop in Fayence.

Choosing your Zagreb poster

Which Zagreb poster should you choose?

Zagreb comes in several styles, depending on what you want to bring out about the city:

  • Vintage Zagreb poster: old-style travel poster, retro lettering, muted palette.
  • Zagreb map poster: illustrated map of the city, districts and streets named.
  • Gornji Grad, the old town: the chequered roof of St Mark's Church, cobbled lanes.
  • Zagreb skyline: black and white roofline, minimalist and graphic rendering.
  • Zagreb Cathedral: gothic spires, vertical composition.
  • Postcard-style Zagreb poster: souvenir-trip mood, bold colours.

The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by size.

Where should you hang a Zagreb poster?

  • Living room: a large format of the old town or the skyline, above the sofa.
  • Office: a map of Zagreb, understated, to place a spot that matters.
  • Entrance: a vintage Zagreb poster, to set the tone of the journey right from the doorway.
  • Bedroom: the cathedral or St Mark's Church, in a vertical format above the bed.
  • Hallway: a series pairing Zagreb with other Central European cities, in the same size.

Zagreb poster: map or architectural illustration?

The map places the city as a whole: it suits an office or a hallway, where the eye looks for landmarks rather than a strong image. The architectural illustration isolates one place, St Mark's Church or the cathedral, and carries better in a living room or above a bed, in a large format. For a single wall, the illustration stands alone. For a gallery wall mixing several destinations, the map pairs better with matching sizes.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
