Choosing your baby animal poster

Which baby animal poster should you choose?

Baby animals come in several registers, and each one sets a different mood:

  • Jungle baby animal poster: lion cub, baby giraffe, little tiger, tropical foliage.
  • Savannah and baby safari poster: baby elephant, giraffe, zebra, sand and ochre tones.
  • Baby rabbit and fox poster: soft silhouettes, a more intimate world than the jungle.
  • Koala and cuddly animal poster: tender poses, a gaze turned towards the child.
  • Whale and baby sea life poster: round shapes, a blue and calm palette.
  • Black and white baby animal poster: restrained contrast, at ease with every wall colour.

The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by mood.

Where should you hang a baby animal poster?

  • Nursery: the rabbit or the koala, gently, above the cot or the chest of drawers.
  • Changing corner or reading corner: a jungle or savannah scene, at a child's eye level.
  • Playroom: several animals together, for a livelier room.
  • The hallway to the bedroom: a series of three animals from the same register.
  • Shared bedroom: black and white, which crosses the ages without dating.

Tip: in a nursery one register is enough. Mixing jungle, savannah and seaside blurs the mood the room needs to keep calm.

Baby animal poster in colour or black and white?

  • Colour gives character to a room that already has a theme: green jungle, ochre savannah, blue sea.
  • Black and white takes over when the wall or the furniture already carries colour.
  • Black and white also suits a room meant to grow with the child, beyond the first years.
  • The 30x40 works well for a single animal near the cot; three 21x30 in a row cover a hallway wall without crushing it.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
