Posters golf
Golf as seen by our artists: the close-cropped green, the flag snapping in the wind and the club poised mid-swing. Each poster is a personal reading of movement, hand-printed on 220 gsm art paper with an anti-glare satin finish in our workshop in Grasse.
Choosing your golf poster
Which golf poster should you choose?
Golf comes in several clearly identified registers, each with its own audience and setting:
- Vintage golf poster: club-house advertising, period lettering, a sepia or pastel palette.
- Tiger Woods or Rory McIlroy poster: a champion's portrait frozen at the top of the swing.
- US Open or major tournament poster: the fervour of competition, a crowd around the green.
- Course and fairway: an aerial view or a rolling green, deep green, bunkers drawn in.
- Minimalist golf poster: a golfer's silhouette, a clean line, a flat colour.
The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by mood.
Where should you hang a golf poster?
- Office: a golfer's portrait or a vintage golf poster, understated beside the screen.
- Living room: a large minimalist golf format above the sofa.
- Bedroom: a green from a course, soothing above the bed.
- Entrance or hallway: a series of champion portraits, in the same size.
- Games room or bar corner: a vintage golf poster, club-house mood.
Tip: in a room already full of objects, one golf poster is enough; two is already too many.
Golf poster: champion portrait or course scene?
- A portrait of Tiger Woods or Rory McIlroy speaks to the golfer who follows the tournaments and recognises the swing.
- A course or green scene appeals to a wider audience, without requiring any knowledge of the circuit.
- For a targeted gift, the champion's portrait leaves more of a mark.
- To dress a wall without knowing the golfer's taste, the course or the fairway remains the safest choice.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on fine art paper, not on canvas or metal.
- With frame: black, white, oak or walnut, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
