Posters graz

Graz as seen by our artists: the red roofs packed at the foot of the hill and the windows that open onto them. Each poster is a personal reading of travel, hand-printed on 220 gsm art paper with an anti-glare satin finish in our workshop in Grasse.

Choosing your Graz poster

What does our Graz poster show?

One poster makes up this section. It looks at the red roofs through a window, with the hill that dominates the city at the far end. The window acts as a frame within the frame, and the packed tiles at the foot of the Schlossberg fill the whole middle of the image.

Which wall colour for a Graz poster?

  • Tile reds warm a white, cream or light grey wall, and clash with a red or pink one.
  • On a deep green wall the complementary contrast brings the roofs forward without shouting.
  • A medium wood frame follows the terracotta; a white frame extends the window surround.
  • Living room, bedroom and study all work: it is a peaceful view that asks nothing of the room.

Which size should you choose?

  • 21x30 and 30x40 for a bedroom or study, alongside other city views.
  • 50x70 for a living room: the roofs can be counted, and the hill takes its place.
  • 70x100 when the window must work as a real opening on the wall.

An image that already contains a window takes a wide mount badly: it would add a third frame.

How are these posters printed?

Each poster is printed to order in our workshop in Grasse, on 220 gsm fine art paper with an anti-glare satin finish, using low-emission inks. It comes in 21x30, 30x40, 50x70 and 70x100 cm, on its own or with its frame.
