Vannes posters
Vannes captivates with its half-timbered houses, flower-lined ramparts and harbour opening onto the Gulf of Morbihan. Three themes guide your choice: views of the historic centre, panoramas of the gulf and harbour scenes. Each poster is printed to order in our workshop in Fayence, on 270 gsm semi-matte photo paper.
This collection has just opened. We are adding our first posters.
Vannes poster: between the ramparts and the Gulf of Morbihan
Which Vannes poster to choose?
The choice mainly depends on what you want to evoke at home: the walled city and its architecture, or the sea horizon of the gulf. A close-up view of the half-timbered houses tells the medieval story, while a panorama of the gulf brings light and space. A few pointers to refine your choice among our formats and framings:
- Half-timbered houses poster, Vannes
- Ramparts and gardens of Vannes poster
- Vannes harbour poster
- Gulf of Morbihan poster
- Aerial view of Vannes poster
The filters on the left of the page let you sort visuals by orientation, colour and format, to find the mood you are looking for.
Where to hang it?
The room guides the choice:
- Living room: a panorama of the gulf in 70x100 or as a 100x140 polyptych to create a focal point
- Office or reading corner: a view of the historic centre in 30x40, more intimate
- Entryway: a vertical 21x30 format of the ramparts, for a subtle touch
- Bedroom: soft tones, sky or gulf water, for a soothing atmosphere
Tip: in a passageway, choose one wide framing rather than several small formats side by side.
City view or gulf landscape?
Should you favour Vannes' architecture or the openness of the Gulf of Morbihan? A view of the historic centre suits an interior with strong character, featuring wood, stone or warm colours, as it echoes these materials. A gulf landscape works better with a light, uncluttered decor, where the horizon and the water's light add visual scale. When in doubt, the harbour poster remains an effective compromise, since it brings together the city and the water within a single frame.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.
- With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
