Aix-en-Provence Posters

Aix-en-Provence inspires refined wall decor: cours Mirabeau and its fountains, ochre facades bathed in light, shaded squares and old lanes. These three themes come together in understated posters, designed for an elegant interior, printed to order in our workshop in Fayence, on 270g semi-matte photo paper.

This collection has just opened. We are adding our first posters.

Aix-en-Provence poster: the city of fountains and ochre facades as wall decor

Which Aix-en-Provence poster to choose?

Aix-en-Provence has several faces. A composition centered on cours Mirabeau and its fountains evokes the calm rhythm of the city, while a shot of the ochre facades plays with texture and color. The plane-tree-shaded squares add a more intimate note.

  • Cours Mirabeau and its fountains poster, for a lively atmosphere
  • Ochre facade poster, shutters and stone, for a warm dominant tone
  • Shaded lane or square poster, for a more graphic result
  • Sainte-Victoire mountain poster, to be distinguished from a view of the city
  • Vertical format for a lane, panoramic format for an open landscape

The filters on the left refine the format and colors.

Where to hang an Aix-en-Provence poster?

The choice of room and format complements that of the theme. A living room readily welcomes a large format, alone or paired with another view of Provence.

  • Living room: 50x70 or 70x100 format, as a single piece above a sofa
  • Entryway or hallway: 30x40 format, for a warm first impression
  • Office or reading nook: a lane or facade in 21x30, a discreet format
  • Bedroom: a landscape with Sainte-Victoire mountain, soft and soothing tones

Tip: for a wider wall, a 100x140 polyptych spreads the same image across four panels to give the landscape more scale.

City view or Provençal landscape?

The choice often lies between an architectural view of Aix, cours Mirabeau and facades, and a wider Provençal landscape including Sainte-Victoire mountain. The former suits an urban interior, the latter brings a natural breathing space and mineral tones. The two can complement each other in the same room, provided tones and formats stay consistent.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
