Choosing your Avignon poster
Which Avignon poster should you choose?
A poster or a print of Avignon is chosen above all by register, between festival poster and view of the city:
- Avignon Festival poster: each edition has its own official poster, which over the years has become a collector's piece.
- Avignon Off Festival poster: a graphic identity of its own, bold colours and confident typography.

Period Avignon poster or current reprint?
The original posters from the great editions of the Avignon Festival are old, printed in limited numbers and rarely available for purchase. A reprint takes up the same artwork on a new print run, without the rarity or the patina of the original paper. For a wall that needs to reference a specific edition of the festival, the reprint is enough to carry the same artwork. For a collector's item with its original value, only the period piece will do, and it is found elsewhere than in a decoration shop.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, not on canvas or metal.
- With frame: black, white, oak or walnut, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
