Posters Charleroi
Charleroi as seen by our artists: the slag heap on the skyline, the gothic belfry and the raw concrete facades. Each poster is a personal reading of travel, hand-printed on 220 gsm art paper with a semi-matte finish in our workshop in Fayence.
Choosing your Charleroi poster
Which Charleroi poster should you choose?
Charleroi comes in several distinct styles, depending on the mood you are after:
- Vintage Charleroi poster: period lettering, a travel-poster spirit, a sepia or pastel palette.
- Art Deco Charleroi poster: industrial geometry, slag heaps and glass roofs, a tribute to the mining past.
- Minimalist Charleroi poster: clean lines, flat colour, an urban silhouette reduced to the essential.
- Charleroi map poster: a stylised plan of the city and its neighbourhoods, for those who love the region.
- Monochrome Charleroi poster: black and white or a single tone, photographic or drawn.
The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by size.
Where should you hang a Charleroi poster?
- Living room: a large size as the centrepiece, above the sofa.
- Office or workspace: a discreet nod to the city, in a medium size.
- Entrance: a vintage Charleroi poster to set the tone from the doorstep.
- Bedroom: a monochrome version, easier on the eye.
- Housewarming or leaving gift: to mark a link with the city.
Framed or unframed Charleroi poster?
An unframed poster goes up quickly, with adhesive pads or a thin strip, and suits a wall whose decor changes often. A frame protects the paper over time and gives a neater finish, suited to a living room or entrance where the poster stays in place. For a polyptych or a very large print, the frame also structures the composition on the wall.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, not on canvas or metal.
- With frame: black, white, oak or walnut, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
