Posters girona

Girona as seen by our artists: the wrought-iron balconies, the flights of steps and the coloured houses along the Onyar. Each poster is a personal reading of travel, hand-printed on 220 gsm art paper with an anti-glare satin finish in our workshop in Grasse.

Choosing your Girona poster

What does our Girona poster show?

One poster makes up this section. It looks at the city through its wrought-iron balconies and its flights of steps, the Catalan architecture of the sloping lanes. This is not the view of the coloured houses along the Onyar that is reproduced everywhere, but the city from above, the one of stairways and close-packed facades.

Which wall colour for a Girona poster?

  • Ochres and pale stone go with white, cream and pale grey walls.
  • On a strong wall, terracotta or blue, the black ironwork of the balconies comes forward.
  • A thin black frame answers the wrought iron; light wood softens the whole.
  • Living room, kitchen and hallway all work. The flights of steps work well in a stairwell.

Which size should you choose?

  • 21x30 and 30x40 for a kitchen or hallway, where the image serves as an escape.
  • 50x70 for a living room: the detail of the balconies then reads without effort.
  • 70x100 when the wall is tall and the verticality of the steps can unfold.

A vertical composition needs a tall wall, not a wide one: it is the available height that decides the size.

How are these posters printed?

Each poster is printed to order in our workshop in Grasse, on 220 gsm fine art paper with an anti-glare satin finish, using low-emission inks. It comes in 21x30, 30x40, 50x70 and 70x100 cm, on its own or with its frame.
