Which Marrakesh poster should you choose?

Marrakesh is not told in a single way, and our posters follow six registers:

• The medina from above: ochre terraces, turquoise zellige courtyards, labyrinth alleys.
• The riad: a blue pool, a single palm, arcades and the coolness of inner courtyards.
• The Koutoubia: the minaret before the snowy peaks of the Atlas.
• Doors and Majorelle blue: arches, latticed windows, awnings and earth walls.
• Desert and horizon: broad fields of sand, a distant city, a low sun.
• Patterns: zellige, babouches, tagines, cut-out shapes.

The filters on the left narrow by colour, by room, by style and by density.

Which colours go with a Marrakesh poster?

• Terracotta and ochre warm a white, beige or linen wall, and sit poorly on an already coloured one.
• Majorelle blue needs space around it: it works alone, in a large format.
• Sea greens and creams suit light interiors and pale woods.
• The darker pieces, night walls and shaded courtyards, hold on a dark wall where the others fade.

A simple rule: the more neutral the wall, the further the ochre carries.

One poster or several?

• A single poster wants a large format, 50x70 or 70x100, and empty space around it.
• Two posters answer each other better when they share a dominant colour: two ochres, or two blues.
• Three or more need a common thread. The clearest here is the subject, three views of the medina, or three doors.
• Mixing a city map, a riad view and a zellige pattern makes a livelier wall than a series of identical views.

How are these posters printed?

Each poster is printed to order in our workshop in Grasse, on 220 gsm fine art paper with an anti-glare satin finish, using low-emission inks. It comes in 21x30, 30x40, 50x70 and 70x100 cm, on its own or with its frame.
