Posters monaco

Monaco seen by our artists: the Rock, the amphitheatre harbour, façades stacked above the Mediterranean. Each poster is a personal reading of the principality, hand-printed on 270 gsm photo paper with a semi-matte finish in our studio in Fayence.

Choosing your Monaco poster

Which Monaco poster should you choose?

Monaco comes in several clearly distinct registers, from the circuit to the bay:

  • Monaco Grand Prix poster: single-seaters, the Casino corner, the Rascasse hairpin.
  • Vintage Monaco F1 poster: a retro palette, period lettering, historic races.
  • Monte-Carlo poster: the casino, Belle Epoque facades, palm trees and gardens.
  • Historic grand prix poster: old cars, past editions, a collector's spirit.
  • Vintage Monaco poster: postcards, advertisements, old views of the rock.
  • Monaco circuit poster: the layout of the track, the plan of the course, an aerial view of the harbour.

The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by mood.

Where should you hang a Monaco poster?

  • Living room: a large racing size, alone above the sofa.
  • Office: a vintage Monte-Carlo poster, restrained beside the screen.
  • Garage or workshop: the circuit or a single-seater, in a generous size.
  • Hallway: a series of posters from several editions of the Grand Prix.
  • Entrance: a view of Monte-Carlo, to set the tone from the door.

Tip: the reds and vivid colours of racing posters come out better on a neutral wall, white or light grey.

Racing poster or vintage Monte-Carlo poster?

  • The Grand Prix poster bets on speed: frank colours, a tight frame on the track or the car.
  • The vintage Monte-Carlo poster tells the city: facades, gardens, silhouettes from another era.
  • The first belongs in a sporting space, the second in a calmer living room.
  • On an already crowded wall, one poster is enough; on a bare wall, two posters hold as a diptych.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
