Tahiti posters
Tahiti reveals volcanic ridges wrapped in tropical vegetation, a lagoon of shifting hues, and black sand beaches lined with a distinctive Oceanic light. These three registers, land, water and light, form a coherent collection, printed to order at our workshop in Fayence, on 270 g semi-matte photo paper.
This collection has just opened. We are adding our first posters.
Tahiti poster: a French Polynesian island in three registers
Which Tahiti poster to choose
Tahiti lends itself to several graphic readings depending on the mood you want in your home. Colour and style filters help refine your choice.
- Volcanic ridges and green crests, for a sculpted, imposing landscape view
- Dense tropical vegetation, foliage and palm trees, for a lush atmosphere
- Lagoon in gradients of blue and green, for a soothing, luminous composition
- Black sand beaches, striking contrast with the foam and sky
- Oceanic light at the end of the day, for a warmer, more enveloping tone
A turquoise horizon and a dark beach do not create the same contrast with your furniture.
Where to hang it
The location determines the register and format best suited to your Tahiti poster.
- Living room: a lagoon view or volcanic ridges in a large format, such as 50x70 or 70x100, to anchor the room
- Bedroom: a soft Oceanic light or a black sand beach, in 30x40, for a calm atmosphere
- Hallway or entrance: a vertical 21x30 format, alone or in a small series, to punctuate the passage
- Office: a sober crop of the tropical vegetation, for a touch of escape without overloading the space
Tip: for a wide wall, a 100x140 polyptych spreads the same lagoon or ridge view across four panels.
Lagoon, volcanic ridge or black sand?
Should you favour a lagoon view or a scene of volcanic ridges? The lagoon brings a calm, luminous horizontality, while the ridges give volume and a stronger presence on the wall. Black sand, meanwhile, contrasts sharply with both and suits a room already sober in colour, avoiding any confusion with landscapes typical of other Polynesian islands.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.
- With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
