Choosing your beige poster

Which beige poster should you choose?

Beige is not an absence of colour, it is a whole family:

  • Sand and linen: the palest, almost white.
  • Oat and chalk: materials, raw paper, textures.
  • Beige and terracotta: the most asked-for warm pairing.
  • Beige on beige: minimum contrast, maximum texture.
  • Round shapes: arches, curves, cast shadows.
  • Muted botanicals: dried grasses, pale foliage.

Where to hang beige wall decor?

  • Bedroom: the most restful colour above a bed.
  • Living room: a whole gallery wall, with no risk of a wrong note.
  • Hallway: two vertical formats, tone on tone.
  • Office: a neutral ground that does not distract on video calls.
  • Corridor: four beiges in different shades, in a line.

Tip: between two beiges it is the texture that makes the difference, not the shade. Look at the grain.

Which wall for a beige poster?

  • White wall: the beige barely stands out, a very soft effect.
  • Beige wall: tone on tone, as long as the shade changes.
  • Sage green or terracotta wall: the beige calms the colour down.
  • Dark wall: the strongest contrast, and the most elegant.

Poster, print or wall picture: what is the difference?

Here the three words mean the same thing: an image you hang on the wall. We say print because we print on art paper, not on canvas or metal.

  • Framed: black, white, oak or walnut, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Unframed: the sheet alone, to slide into a frame you already own.
