Germany comes through here in three registers: vintage reclame with gothic typefaces, the city view of Berlin or Munich, and the country's minimalist map. Treatments range from the old travel poster to graphic compositions in flat colour.
This is a country that suits a map just as well as a city view: the city view tells one place, a skyline, a landmark, while the map tells the whole country, its outline and scale. In a passage room, the map stays more legible in 30x40 than a view crowded with detail.
Berlin's greys and Bavaria's ochres are contrasting colours. Our 220 g/m² art paper with a satin finish keeps their crispness, without the glare of a glossy paper.
