Choosing your leopard print poster
Which leopard poster should you choose?
Leopard print comes in several registers, and they don't all say the same thing:
- Realistic leopard poster: photographic portrait, feline gaze, detailed coat.
- Leopard print: flat animal-print pattern, spots spread across the whole surface, a fashion register.
- Savannah or jungle leopard poster: the animal in its setting, a branch or tall grass, a wild mood.
- Black and white leopard poster: strong contrast, photographic grain, a stripped-back result.
- Golden leopard poster on an abstract background: a stylised silhouette, touches of gold, a decorative register.
- Watercolour leopard poster: blended lines, a soft palette, an artistic rather than photographic result.
The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by mood.
Where should you hang a leopard poster?
- Living room: a large size above the sofa, a realistic portrait or a graphic print depending on the mood you want.
- Bedroom: a golden or abstract version, softer for a night corner.
- Entrance: a black and white leopard poster, striking from the first glance.
- Office: an understated leopard print, in a small size, next to other frames.
- Dressing room: the fashion leopard print, echoing a garment or an accessory.
Realistic leopard poster or graphic print?
The realistic portrait needs a wall that gives it room: it carries the gaze and does not sit well alongside other busy pieces. The leopard print, more graphic, fits into a composition of several frames or alongside a textile animal print. For a room that is already colourful, we recommend the black and white or golden version, which calms the whole. For a neutral wall meant to become the room's focal point, the large-size realistic portrait plays that role.
Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?
All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, not on canvas or metal.
- With frame: black, white, oak or walnut, assembled and ready to hang.
- Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
