Posters Orléans

Orléans as seen by our artists: the Loire, its bridges and the grid of the old town. Each poster is a personal reading of travel, hand-printed on 270 gsm photo paper with a semi-matte finish in our workshop in Fayence.

Choosing your Orléans poster

Which Orléans poster should you choose?

Orléans comes in several registers depending on what the wall needs to say:

  • Vintage Orléans poster: period lettering, sepia tones, travel-advertisement spirit.
  • Sainte-Croix cathedral poster: Gothic spires, rose window, a vertical silhouette that structures a wall.
  • Loire at Orléans poster: quays, bridges and the river's light, a landscape register.
  • Joan of Arc poster: the city's historical figure, in a graphic or illustrated treatment.
  • Orléans map poster: plan of the historic centre, streets and landmarks visible at a glance.
  • Minimalist Orléans poster: simple flat colours and a reduced palette, for a pared-back interior.

The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by size.

Where should you hang an Orléans poster?

  • Living room: a view of the cathedral or the Loire, in a large size above the sofa.
  • Office: a map of the town centre or a vintage poster, understated near the screen.
  • Entrance: an Orléans poster that sets the tone from the doorway, a vertical size.
  • Bedroom: a soft tone from the river or the sky, away from tones that are too strong.
  • Hallway: a series of several views of Orléans, in the same size, to build a sequence.

Orléans poster in colour or in black and white?

Colour brings back the cathedral's honey-coloured stone and the green of the Loire's quays, it anchors the poster in a precise season. Black and white erases that sense of time and blends more easily with furniture that already carries a lot of colour. On a pale wall, colour carries the city's identity better; on a dark wall, black and white avoids visual overload.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, never on canvas. The same image is also available on a metal plate, in several sizes.

  • With frame: black, white or light oak, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
