Posters portrait
Portraiture seen by our artists: human presence, bodies and silhouettes, in a sober graphic palette. Each poster is a personal reading of face and figure, hand-printed on 220 gsm fine art paper with an anti-glare satin finish in our studio in Grasse.
Choosing the right poster
Portraiture is the subject that catches the eye fastest, and the one that needs the most space around it. This section runs from painted portraits to photographic portraits, taking in continuous line faces and pop compositions along the way.
A portrait hangs alone, never in a series with other faces that would end up looking at each other. It works well in an entryway, a hallway or above a low piece of furniture, at eye level.
Size matters more here than elsewhere: a face at 21x30 becomes an object, a face at 70x100 becomes a presence. Both hold their own, but the effect isn't the same.
