Posters snake

Snake as seen by our artists: the coiled bodies, patterned or drawn in line. Each poster is a personal reading of the animal world, hand-printed on 220 gsm art paper with a semi-matte finish in our workshop in Fayence.

Choosing your snake poster

Which snake poster should you choose?

The snake carries very different registers in wall decor:

  • Naturalist snake poster: antique botanical and zoological plate, detailed motifs in the style of scientific engraving.
  • Minimalist snake poster: continuous line, pared-down silhouette, black on a light background.
  • Tribal or Aboriginal snake poster: graphic motifs, repeated symbols, earth palette.
  • Tropical snake poster: bright colours, dense foliage, jungle mood.
  • Ouroboros snake poster: a circle closed on itself, symbolic and esoteric register.
  • Vintage engraving snake poster: sepia tones, cabinet-of-curiosities spirit.

The filters on the left narrow things down by dominant colour, by style and by mood.

Where should you hang a snake poster?

  • Living room: a large graphic format, alone above the sofa.
  • Bedroom: a clean, understated line, never a motif that is too busy near the bed.
  • Office: a naturalist plate or a vintage engraving, for a wall that inspires.
  • Entrance: a tribal motif or a strong silhouette, to mark the threshold.
  • Hallway: a series of several sizes in the same style, the same palette.

Snake poster in colour or in black and white?

Black and white carries the line and the silhouette: it suits graphic, minimalist or tribal registers, and fits most walls. Colour brings the living creature back: scales, foliage, tropical motifs, it calls for a more neutral wall so as not to saturate the room. In an already busy interior, black and white calms things down. On a bare wall, colour gives character immediately.

Poster, print or picture: what is the difference?

All three words mean the same thing here: a printed image that you hang on the wall. We say poster because we print on photo paper, not on canvas or metal.

  • With frame: black, white, oak or walnut, assembled and ready to hang.
  • Without frame: the sheet alone, to slide into the frame you already have.
